Photobello ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Brian Sandoval. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Photobello application ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Google or Apple sign-in. We do not store your social login passwords.

Profile Information: Information you provide voluntarily, including your name, age, gender, location, interests, photos, and relationship preferences.

Persona & Quiz Data: Your responses to the Photobello persona quiz, which generates a personality profile across 12 relationship axes. This data is used to provide personalized matching and insights.

Usage Data: Daily check-in data (mood/pulse), mission completion history, chat messages, and interaction patterns within the App.

Photos: Photos taken at Photobello booths or uploaded through the App are stored securely and associated with your account upon claiming via QR code.

Device Information: Basic device information including browser type, operating system, and screen resolution for App optimization.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate your persona profile and provide personalized matches
• Deliver daily missions, streak tracking, and wellness features
• Recommend nearby venues and IRL experiences
• Enable messaging between matched users
• Improve and optimize the App experience
• Send important account and service notifications

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information in the following cases:

• Other Users: Your profile information (name, age, persona, photos) is visible to other matched users within the App.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for backend infrastructure and Google for authentication. These providers process data on our behalf under strict privacy agreements.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and implement access controls to protect your information.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the App
• Edit your profile information at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data through Settings → Delete Account
• Export your data by contacting us

When you delete your account, all personal data including your persona, chat history, photos, and matches are permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Age Requirement

Photobello is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete that information immediately.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

The App uses local storage (localStorage) to cache your data for offline functionality and faster loading. This data stays on your device and syncs with our server when connected.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with:

• Google OAuth — for account authentication
• Apple Sign-In — for account authentication
• Supabase — for data storage, authentication, and real-time features
• Google Maps — for venue recommendations (IRL Hotspot feature)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
